چکیده
where T is temperature, S is entropy and J.1oaM2/2 is the self-coupling energy. The dimensionless term a. has been defined previously [2] and represents the strength of the coupling of the individual magnetic moments to the magnetization M. The effective magnetic field causes a change in magnetization, and therefore is determined by the derivative of this energy with respect to magnetization M. The derivative of entropy with respect to bulk magnetization M in a ferromagnet will be negligible in the cases under consideration because the fields applied here do not increase the ordering within the domains, although they do Iead to a change in the bulk magnetization M. Therefore the effective field is given by

The Effects of Inhomogeneous Mechanical Properties of the Ferrite Phase on Dual Phase Steel’s Behavior
The microstructure of dual phase steels can be considered as a matrix of ferrite phase reinforced by martensite particles. Recent measurements show that the mechanical properties of the ferrite phase are changed with the distance from the martensite grains. In this paper, a new method has been proposed to consider this phenomenon in finite element modeling of dual phase steels microstructure. I...

متن کاملEffect of Heat Treatment on Microstructure, Magnetic and Mechanical Properties of HSLA-100
In this study, the effects of various heat treatments on microstructure, mechanical and magnetic properties of HSLA-100 steel were evaluated. The heat treatments consisted of austenitizing at 900°C for 60 minutes, then quenching by different cooling rates via furnace, air, oil and water; and quenched specimens were aged at 600°C for one hour. Optical and field emission scanning electron m...
متن کاملThe effects of chemical composition variations on microstructure and mechanical properties of nanostructured, low temperature bainitic steels
Bainitic transformation at low transformation temperatures leads to a microstructure involving fine plates of bainitic ferrite and thin films of retained austenite. This microstructure has shown ultimate tensile strength of about 2.2 GPa, noticeable uniform elongation in the range of 5 to 30%, hardness values of about 600 to 670 HV and impact toughness in the range of 30 to 40 MPa m1/2. With ca...
متن کاملHigh Temperature Behavior of Dual Phase Steels
Dual phase steels with different martensite volume fraction and morphology were tensile tested at a temperature range of 25 to 5500C. Stress-strain curves of all steels showed serration flow at temperatures of 250 and 3500C, and smooth flow at the other temperatures. Both yield and ultimate tensile strengths increased with increasing testing temperature up to about 450<sup...
